The iconic fridge magnets made in Yiwu in East China's Zhejiang province have once again captured global attention, making their way to cities around the world, including Madrid, Paris, New York, Bangkok, London, Jakarta, and Singapore. They have even become popular on Weibo, an X-like social media platform in China, and beyond.

From March to July, fridge magnets made in Yiwu saw a remarkable 228 percent increase in orders compared to the same period last year, while the total transaction volume increased by 78 percent. Some designs have even temporarily sold out.

Fridge magnets serve as souvenirs for travelers, while also showcasing regional and cultural uniqueness, making them a hit among consumers worldwide.

"From the Eiffel Tower in France to the Statue of Liberty in the US, the Colosseum in Rome, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, and Santorini in Greece, famous landmarks and scenic spots worldwide are now immortalized in our cityscape fridge magnets," said Chen Lili, owner of Yiwu's Lifei Crafts Factory, the leading manufacturer of the popular souvenirs.

Specializing in fridge magnets made from natural shells and featuring marine themes, Chen's factory churns out millions of these high-demand items monthly.

As these charming souvenirs continue to captivate hearts worldwide, Yiwu's fridge magnets remain not just a travel memento, but a symbol of shared experiences and cherished memories for people across the globe.
