To establish itself as a "tourist destination city" and "world gourmet city", Yiwu in East China's Zhejiang province has launched the "Taste the World, Shop the Globe" food festival and shopping season, which runs until October.

The event will feature a series of tourism and cultural activities as well as nighttime activities to spur the night economy at the Yiwu International Trade Market.

To complement this tourism shopping season, the organizers introduced the "Taste the World, Shop the Globe" Food and Beer Carnival, held from June 29 to July 3 and welcoming buyers and tourists to savor world cuisines, explore global supermarkets, and make friends from around the world.

Visitors can embark on a culinary journey, tasting delicacies from countries such as Spain, Italy, Turkiye, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia while enjoying beer.

The event also features live bands, dances, interactive games and a vibrant atmosphere, promising a truly exhilarating experience. Participants can relish delicious cuisines, immerse themselves in exotic cultures, and feel the joy of inclusiveness and sharing.

During the May Day holiday, Yiwu's diverse international cuisine garnered widespread attention and sparked lively discussions across the internet, attracting numerous tourists to come and savor the delicacies, significantly boosting consumption.

By promoting an integrated "shopping + food" tourism model, the organizers aimed to enhance Yiwu's market advantages and continuously optimize tourist shopping centers, imported commodity cities, and specialty streets, elevating the "City of Markets" brand image.
