Yiwu enterprises seek new opportunities in S. Korea

A group of 27 Yiwu enterprises are heading to South Korea to showcase their products at the 2024 Seoul E-commerce Expo.

The Seoul E-commerce Expo will be held from March 7 to 9 at the Seoul SETEC Exhibition Center in South Korea. The exhibition includes 350 standard booths and expects more than 40,000 buyers to attend. It is one of the most influential e-commerce expos in South Korea.

The exhibitors from Yiwu are engaged in various industries, such as daily necessities, gift packaging, jewelry accessories, and pet supplies, and they have prepared their products according to the preferences and needs of the South Korean market.

For example, Zhejiang Xinsha Clothing Co Ltd brought more than 10 kinds of scarves, which are designed with oil painting and ribbon styles. Zhejiang Xingbao Umbrella Industry Co Ltd brought a children's umbrella that changes color when it comes into contact with water.

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China and South Korea had a total import and export trade of $310.737 billion in 2023. Yiwu has close economic and trade ties with South Korea and plentiful cultural exchanges. Cooperation in logistics and city-sister relations have been greatly strengthened.

The exhibitors will fly from Hangzhou International Airport to Incheon International Airport in South Korea on March 5. They will also visit and research the Namdaemun Market, Dongdaemun Market, Myeongdong Commercial Street, and Huguodong Circulation Market in South Korea.
