The first-ever Song Dynasty-themed group wedding event took place at the Yiwu Botanical Garden in Yiwu on Aug 19.

Six couples, donning traditional Song Dynasty (960-1279) wedding attire, followed the sequence of "Leaving the Maiden's Chamber," "Dressing the Bride," "Boarding the Boat," "Meeting the Groom," and the final wedding ceremony.

The wedding was rooted in traditional customs but simplified certain elements.

During the event, the Yiwu Botanical Garden launched its outdoor wedding registration base.

A series of activities, including match-making for singles, ancient-style fairs, and parades, were held to celebrate the occasion.
