Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat explores opportunities in Yiwu

Ou Boqian, secretary-general of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, led a delegation to Yiwu for research and investigation from July 8 to 9.

The delegation had a firsthand experience of the International Small Commodity Market, where they inquired in detail about the import and export of goods between Yiwu and Japan and South Korea.

At the Yiwu Railway Port, one of the starting points of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of Yiwu's advantages in e-commerce development and the progress of the Yiwu Cross-Border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone.

They expressed their intention of strengthening cooperation and exchange in the field of cross-border e-commerce.

The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat is an intergovernmental international organization established in Seoul, September 2011 with the approval of the governments of China, Japan, and South Korea.

The organization's primary purpose is to support the operation and management of the trilateral consultation mechanism, facilitate the exploration and implementation of cooperative projects, and promote enduring peace, universal prosperity, and shared culture between the three countries.

Authorities with the municipal government of Yiwu noted that the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat to Yiwu will further enhance mutual understanding and promote collaboration in various fields.
