Masanneh Nyuku Kinteh, Gambian ambassador to China, paid a visit to the city of Yiwu on June 7.

During his visit, the ambassador and his delegation attended the 2023 Zhejiang Yiwu International Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Expo, which took place from June 7 to 9.

Yiwu Mayor Ye Bangrui welcomed the ambassador and said that the friendship between China and Africa has a long history, with strong economic and trade ties.

In recent years, an increasing number of African businessmen have chosen Yiwu as a destination for entrepreneurship and have achieved great success. He extended an invitation to the ambassador to send Gambian companies and foreign businessmen to visit Yiwu for procurement purposes.

The ambassador congratulated Yiwu on the successful hosting of the expo, stating that the event featured a diverse range of exhibitors and products, providing an excellent opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of Chinese electromechanical products.

Yiwu is well-known as a global hub for small commodities, and the ambassador expressed a desire to further strengthen economic and trade exchanges between his country and Yiwu in the future.
