Yiwu small commodity industrial belt ranks 3rd nationwide

The small commodity industrial belt in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province ranked third on the list of the top 100 industrial belts in the country released by major Chinese online shopping site Taobao.

Yiwu is the largest small commodity distribution center and purchase base in the world.

In recent years, many single-product champion enterprises, which are those that have a very promising product that defines the company, have sprung up due to the city's prosperous real market and competitive industrial chains.

The output of decorations and zippers manufactured in Yiwu accounts for more than 20 percent of China's total, while that of seamless underwear produced in the city makes up 30 percent and 80 percent of the worldwide and nationwide totals respectively.

Currently, small commodity industrial clusters featuring knitting, clothing, zippers, decorations, wool spinning, pen making, printing, artware, and toys have taken shape in Yiwu.

The top 100 industrial belts listed are mainly based in 19 provinces, including Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu.

Besides Yiwu's small commodities, the women's wear in Guangzhou, furniture in Foshan, leather in Haining, home textiles in Nantong, clothing in Changshu, children's wear in Huzhou, men's accessories in Quanzhou, jewelry in Shenzhen, and clothing in Wuhan also made the top 10 list.
