The Yiwu China Imported Commodities Mall has seen many visitors and buyers in recent days, as the 2023 Yiwu China Imported Commodities Mall Shopping Festival was launched on Jan 1.

Many merchants taking part in the shopping festival sell goods at cost and offer big promotions. Imported food, kitchen utensils, red wine products and other high-demand commodities are well stocked.

Various kinds of imported red wine are popular among buyers at the Spanish Commodity Center on the first floor of the Yiwu China Imported Commodities Mall.

Zhang Ruizhi, the person in charge of the Spanish Commodity Center, said that it is now peak season for the sale of imported alcohol. In order to meet demand, they had imported more than 10 containers of red wine from Spain via China-Europe freight trains.

The shopping festival is held annually before the Spring Festival, when many people buy overseas goods in preparation for the coming Chinese New Year.

The Yiwu China Imported Commodities Mall sells nearly 100,000 types of commodities from more than 100 countries and regions, including food, alcohol, baby products, cosmetics, daily necessities, household products, and kitchen products. Over 70 percent of these goods are directly imported.

This year's shopping festival will run until Jan 8. Buyers can also go to the first floor of the Yiwu China Imported Commodities Mall to visit exhibition areas for holiday, pet, and hotel goods.
