Yiwu sees rising number express deliveries in December

Yiwu's courier sector reported a 32.88-percent year-on-year increase in business transactions from Dec 1 to 12, accounting for 44.37 percent of all business transactions in Zhejiang province, official data showed on Dec 14.

During this period, the city's delivery service providers handled 456.69 million parcels, according to the local post bureau.

He Hangbin, director of the Yiwu Xinke Branch of ZTO Express, said that with the continuous optimization of the epidemic prevention policy, the number of orders at the branch exceeded 800,000 on Dec 11, an increase of nearly 500,000 since the end of November.

He said that most of the parcels were heating supplies and beauty products, as the temperature has dropped in recent days.
