Even though the 22nd World Cup is still two months away, and the world's small commodities hub Yiwu, a humble city in East China's Zhejiang province, is already fully stocked with World Cup souvenirs.

To ensure the made-in-Yiwu soccer balls, flags, horns, trophies, medals and stickers arrive in Qatar before the games begin, Cainiao, one of China's largest logistics enterprises, launched a special World Cup maritime transport service on Sept 16, which transports goods from Ningbo and Shanghai to Hamad Port in Qatar in 20 to 25 days.

The logistics giant has also offered a combination of freight routes to cover the rest of the Middle East.

"As it usually takes two months for goods to arrive in the Middle East by sea and land transportation, we have integrated resources with our partners to maximize the cargo transport capacity," said a director of Cainiao's international freight services.

Cainiao has also opened a green channel for local businesspeople who book 10 days in advance so that their containers will be reserved without the worrying about the hassle of being loaded on a later voyage.

Yiwu is beefing up efforts to help international fans enjoy the upcoming World Cup. With the support of Cainiao's six digital logistics hubs across the globe, soccer enthusiasts in Europe, Southeast Asia, South America, and the Middle East can enjoy fast and convenient delivery services.
