As midsummer approaches, a golden sea of sunflowers has come into full bloom in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, attracting a large number of visitors and helping increase the incomes of local farmers.
More than 60,000 sunflowers are blooming in the fields of the Yiwu Botanical Garden. According to a worker there, the fields of Chinese roses were rotated to plant sunflowers provided by the local academy of agricultural sciences. Their sunflowers are tall and strong, suitable for taking photos and producing oil.
Those sunflowers are now in full bloom and will be until mid-July. The second batch of sunflowers will be planted at that time, which will start blooming in October.
