Chinagoods, a platform launched by Yiwu-based Zhejiang China Commodities City Group, launched an investment promotion event both online and offline at the Yiwu International Trade Market on April 15.

Yiwu, China's small commodity hub, is widely known as the world's supermarket. This is the second year the Chinagoods digital platform has hosted such an event, aiming to promote international trade and provide more business opportunities for merchants.

One of the highlights of the event is the "Benben to find goods" channel, which can be found on main channels of the Chinagoods digital platform. Benben, the mascot of Chinagoods, sends matched orders to merchants after promotional events.

Data showed that more than 6,000 orders were collected and responded to online on April 15. The transaction value of intentional orders that can be calculated online exceeded 100 million yuan ($15.51 million).

In order to provide better services for international matchmaking events, the Yiwu Market Purchasing Center cooperated with the Chinagoods digital platform to provide professional translators during one-on-one video interviews.

In addition, over 1,000 popular products participated in a seckill (short for "second kill") event to be sold at rock-bottom prices. Over 100 brands also held live streaming events on Chinagoods and Tik Tok to attract buyers both at home and abroad.
