The 26th China Yiwu International Commodities (Standards) Fair, which ran from Oct 21-25, was attended by thousands of exhibitors and featured many livestreaming events.

This year's fair featured more than 3,400 booths at the Yiwu International Expo Center and had a total area of 100,000 square meters.

In light of the Covid-19 epidemic, attendees were required to register their real names and have their faces scanned before entering the expo center.

The fair has attracted 1,600 foreign merchants from overseas trade institutions and representative offices stationed in China, 1,800 buyers from domestic department stores, supermarkets, convenience stores and professional markets, and nearly 2,000 enterprises from around the nation.

In addition, the event's organizer held seven online trade matchmaking conferences for Chinese and foreign companies, helping achieve $4.66 million in trade deals.

Twelve foreign internet influencers with more than 70,000 followers each in the United States, Europe, and Africa promoted the fair in English, Spanish, and Arabic on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

Official statistics show that the Yiwu fair received around 106,000 in-person visits and 160 million online clicks.
