The third China International Import Expo (CIIE) roadshow series to attract buyers for the third CIIE arrived in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 17.

The roadshow was aimed at recruiting buyers to showcase their products at the third CIIE's exhibition areas for consumer goods and food and agricultural products.

In recent years, Yiwu has made diligent efforts to develop its import market. Many Yiwu elements were put into the spotlight at previous CIIEs.

Officials said that Yiwu is committed to helping its companies attend the third CIIE, and is introducing advanced equipment and middle and high-end consumer goods from foreign countries, thus contributing to the "dual circulation" development model, which takes the domestic market as the mainstay while allowing domestic and foreign markets to strengthen each other.

During the roadshow, representatives from the CIIE Bureau briefed attendees on preparations for the third CIIE and called for companies to register as buyers during the event.

The third CIIE will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from Nov 5 to 10.

The event is expected to cover a business exhibition area of 360,000 square meters and will be divided into six exhibition areas: trade in services, automobiles, technical equipment, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare products, and food and agricultural products.
