A colorful paddy park in Chi'an town, Yiwu will be opened to tourists this September.

The park was built in 2019 by the local government following consultations with professors from the Rice Research Institute of Zhejiang University and the municipal agricultural bureau.

The park, which covers an area of more than 500 mu (33.33 hectares), features large paddy paintings created by folk artists.

When completed, the park will have an exhibition center for children that integrates education and entertainment, as well as areas where visitors can fish for lobsters and pick vegetables.

"This is an agricultural park themed around rice culture. It is also one of the important ways for Chi'an town to create a window into Yiwu's beautiful countryside views," said Chen Zhongyu, a Party member in Chi'an town.
