​Thai consul general in Shanghai visits Yiwu

A group of officials led by He Yunfei, vice-chairman of the Yiwu Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, held a meeting with Sasirit Tangulrat, consul general of Royal Thai's Consulate General in Shanghai, on July 14.

He welcomed the delegation and briefed them on Yiwu's social and economic development, the city's measures to prevent and control the epidemic, as well as its practices in promoting the resumption of production.

Sasirit Tangulrat expressed thanks for the warm reception. She said that Yiwu's trade market has shown great vitality despite the epidemic, adding that she was impressed by the remarkable achievements Yiwu has made in business trade as well as the city's rich culture.

Both sides discussed potential cooperation in bilateral trade, aviation logistics, people-to-people exchange, and tourism.

During their visit, the Thai delegation visited the Yiwu International Trade Market and several scenic areas in Yiwu.
