The first batch of cargo arrived at Yiwu International Airport on March 10, making Yiwu China's first county-level city to introduce inbound cargo transportation services.

The Osaka-Yiwu cargo flights, run by China Postal Airlines, also delivered the first batch of anti-epidemic supplies since the opening of a green channel for overseas donations.

Yiwu Customs has set up a special window for the clearance of donated supplies for epidemic prevention in strict accordance with the requirement that "special problems should be solved in a special way and clearance should be permitted as soon as possible in a simplified manner".

Upon arrival, the supplies will be registered and checked as soon as possible, and assistance will be provided to ensure the timely delivery of donated materials to the frontlines of the epidemic as soon as possible.

In the battle against the novel coronavirus, the Osaka-Yiwu cargo flights have made Yiwu International Airport a transfer hub for epidemic prevention supplies between Japan and Zhejiang province. In the future, the flights will facilitate economic exchange between Osaka and Yiwu.

Established in August last year, the Osaka-Yiwu cargo flight is offered five times per week from Tuesday to Saturday. It is a round-trip direct flight that offers next-day delivery and beneficial customs declaration treatment.

According to customs authorities, the flights will transport another 12 tons of cargo from Osaka to Yiwu this week.
