Yiwu in Zhejiang province delivered 35.62 million packages to 127 countries and regions in the first half of 2019, local media reported on July 17.

The total number of packages saw a year-on-year increase of 40.9 percent despite fears of a global slowdown.

The sound performance can be attributed to Yiwu Customs' efforts in improving clearance efficiency, including optimizing its supervision system and upgrading its scanning equipment.
