Jinhua handles 3.66b express deliveries in Q1

Jinhua in Zhejiang province handled 3.66 billion pieces of express deliveries in the first quarter of this year, securing the top position in the country, according to data recently released by the State Post Bureau.

Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, completed a total of 2.76 billion deliveries, marking an 18.8 percent year-on-year increase. Among these, express service enterprises managed 2.74 billion deliveries, also an 18.8 percent year-on-year growth.

E-commerce has been the primary driving force behind the growth in express delivery volume in Yiwu. Authorities have also been taking proactive measures to encourage enterprises to embrace technological innovation and deploy smart equipment to improve delivery efficiency.

Cutting-edge technologies such as big data, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and mobile internet have been widely applied to the city's delivery industry, with full-automatic and semi-automatic sorting, weighing, and scanning equipment having been implemented.
